Dr. Paul Gray is Professor and Founding Chair of the Department of Information Science at Claremont Graduate University. He specializes in data warehousing, business intelligence, decision support systems, and knowledge management. Before coming to Claremont in 1983, he was a professor at Stanford and three other universities. Prior to his academic career, he worked for 18 years in R&D organizations including nine years at SRI International.

He is the author/editor of 12 books, most recently Decision Support in the Data Warehouse with H.J. Watson. He is also the author of over 120 journal articles including three "first papers" in crime in transportation, in telecommuting, and in group decision support systems.

His awards include Fellow of the Association for Information Systems, Outstanding Information Systems Educator 2000, and NATO Systems Science Prize.

He is the founding editor of the Communications of AIS and was previously editor of two other journals. In 1992-93 he was President of the Institute of Management Sciences.
