Biography
Barbara Wixom
University of Virginia, Associate Professor of Commerce
Barb Wixom is an Associate Professor of Commerce at the University of
Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce and Director of UVA's 16-month M.S. in
M.I.T. graduate program. She is an associate editor of the Business
Intelligence Journal and a research fellow of The Data Warehousing Institute
(TDWI). She has published in Information Systems Research; MIS
Quarterly; MIS Quarterly Executive; and Journal of MIS and has
presented her work at national and international conferences. Barb has worked
with many corporations and three of her case studies have won international
awards from the Society for Information Management for innovation in information
technology. Barb is the author of two leading systems analysis and design
textbooks.
